Bourg Fest in the 'Burg

The Strasbourg International Film Festival’s roaming arm has picked the ‘Burg as for it’s next Nomadic Tendencies Film Festival, September 3 through 12.

The 10-day fest will bring over 140 independent films from new and emerging filmmakers from around the world to local audiences.

In the offering are features, animation and documentaries with unknowns in addition to Hollywood stars such as Meryl Streep, Samuel L. Jackson and even William Shatner.

The schedule includes free showings at USF St Pete S, ArtOn! Central, Meek on the Prowl, and the Blueberry Patch while festival passes/tickets are required for showings at the Dali, Muvico Baywalk 20 and the Beach Theatre.

Seven panels will be offered throughout the festival focusing on various aspects of independent filmmaking and Scott expects several filmmakers to be in attendance.
