What a way to ring in the New Year! The ‘Burg makes it in the New York Times' 52 Places to Go in 2014 coming in at #49. This is major kudos to St. Pete as it ranks among cities around the world like Cape Town, South Africa which ranks 1st on the list, Christchurch, New Zealand (#2) and North Coast, California (#3).
Writer Diane Daniels gives St. Petersburg, Florida credit for reinventing itself from once being a haven for just senior citizens to having a revitalized waterfront which includes the beautiful Dali Museum. It also notes the growing craft beer scene and mentions the impressive renovations done on the historic YWCA building by the newly-opened Rococo Steak and Hollander Hotel.
